If you were given Saddle choice
Ok, if you are allowed to own a WTB Laser V or Rocket V Team/Race (not SLT), which one will you choose?

I like the Rocket V because it's narrower. I have one on my Coiler and I like it. But I don't think I would like it if it was on a hardtail (too much padding). My wife's Dawg has a Laser V and I don't find it as comfortable.

Saddles are a totally personal choice. The rule of thumb [or rule of bum, in this case] is: skinny ass, skinny seat; wide ass, wide seat.

neither. I just stopped using WTB seats. any of them. too frickin wide in the thigh area when compared to others. that means more power on climbs and better thigh grip on long, steep downhills with the skinnier seat since my thighs are so large. I was riding almost bowlegged with the newer type WTBs
Im using a E3 to see how well it holds up before plunking down the big $ for the seat it mimicks. Fizik

Hmm, I wonder why Rocket V is like the most popular WTB Saddle, its lowest end model is heavier then Laser V base model, is Laser V base model more expensive then Rocket V saddle which has the same weight?
