bike upgrading

ok so i have a 2006 raleigh m50DX (one of the high end, nicer raleighs)
i need to get my street rep ( )up so time to upgrade the bike my fork is possiably filled with water and scratched badly. back tire almost worn away after 200 miles in a a month and a half. I do alot of trials, mud, water, dirt gravel things lik that. i love the tires that look over inflated. What tires should i get? and whatas a good suggestion for a new fork ( i want lots of travel) i work at a bike shop so i can get alot of parts and i have access to tools and the knowledge to fix bikes. Thanks alot

The tires would depend on your sort of riding. I like the Kenda Nevegals on my bike and try a little of everything. Also, your new fork should be within 20 mm of travel from your old one. I think this is because the larger suspension travel could put stress on your head tube. For your bike i wouldn't go over 100 mm of travel.

For tires check out the Kenda Nevegals or the Schwalbe Alberts. Both have worked well for me in rocks, roots and mud. I demo-ed the Alberts for a week and have just gotten my Kendas and started riding them. Both are a huge improvement from the specialized enduros that came stock on my bike,
