My Wife is Going to Kill Me

I order a Rock Shox SID Race for myself yesterday I haven't told the wife yet. I think I'll wait till morning since it's father day maybe see won't kill me in front of my daughter. My thinking is as least I never order the World Cup. It's going to save a pound on my bike too. Bonus.

I just love it when threads start with "My wife is gonna kill me," they always end up very entertaining. Nice purchase, enjoy the fork.

You know what would be awesome? If she ordered the exact same fork for you for fathers day.

I told her and I'm still in one piece. And she asked for a new computer. Well we are going to Best Buy today for a laptop.

Sweet and congrats! I actually got my hands on a World Cup SID but haven't decided whether or not to put it on yet. I'm not a weight-weenie but I was able to get the fork for a pretty good price but I'm worried it may be too much for my style of riding, which is technical XC with the occasional Raid/24hour event.

Although, I just got permission to buy a used road bike for $500.. of course she justified that by saying she gets a new mountain bike this summer.

Before I could buy my new bike, I had to get my wife a new Cannon D-9, and a new laptop. I bought those over about a year and a half. Finally when it became apparent that she wanted a new house I figured that it was time to make my move and tell her, “I want a 1500 bike”. In the end I paid about 1700 wholesale for my new bike.

Perhaps you could have made a better “compromise”. You might have been able to get a whole bike for a laptop.
