drops whats the form?
i've seen some people do drops semi-flat, by that i mean is their rear wheel is a little lower than their front. then i see other people who drop their rear wheel way down and land that way. which one is correct? how do i know which form to do?:confused:

Depends on the bike really. If you're doing a hardtail drop, you want to come down with the back wheel relatively paralel with the front. Obviously you need to land the backwheel first, but don't subject it to too prolonged a spell of shock before the front wheel comes down, otherwise you'll nail the rim. On a full suspension it really makes little difference in protecting the rims, I always prefer to come down with the back wheel way further down... it's personal taste.

Depends on speed and such. If you are moving fast tug the front wheel up high enough so that when you hit bottom they match up well. (Perfection is not required but landing front wheel heavy hurts). If going slow and doing Shore style precision drops you should use a trials type drp. Pop a wheelie, hold it look at your landing and throw yourself towards it landing very rear wheel heavy.

my bike is a hardtail and i'll probably be doing drops semi-slow at first. i won't necessarily be doing drops on a trail but more like trials if that matters.

If you watch the dropin videos www.pinkbike.com they have everything in them and you can watch how they do it. You have to download them, they are in the videos section. If they arent there (they limit the number of downloads) I can send you 6 of them burnt to a cd for a small cost
