Wahoo Disc vs. Giant Yukon?

Hi all, i'm new here, want to start doing some more serious biking and I've come upon two beginner bikes which are about the same price at my LBS (650-700, CDN$). They are the Gary Fischer Wahoo Disc and the Giant Yukon. I was looking at the Kona Blast too but the concensus was that it was pretty heavy, I want a lightweight bike. The GT Avalanche was also a consideration but it's hard to find in my city.

Anywho, which of these two would you pick?

My LBS guy said that the Wahoo had a lighter frame and a better fork but the Yukon had better drivetrain but not as good a fork...

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks.
