1.5 HS: Orbit X Pro vs. Big Fat Pig
just wanted your opinions. have any of you used either of these on your 1.5 steerers? i just opened up my Orbit to find a defective lower cartridge bearing. it is "notchy". i am not installing it like this. i sure hope Transition or FSA is going to give me a replacement.
honestly, i thought the cartridge bearings looked a little weak...not sure if its because it is in a larger opening that i am not as used to seeing or not. just wasn't very impressed with the size.
which leads me to wonder if i shouldn't just get the Big Fat Pig which is cheaper, lighter? according to FSA, and uses 7/32" bottom bearings. (that is considered large for mtb bearings, isn't it?) plus i could run loose bearings and add a few if they are in those retainer rings. (not sure how they come)
thoughts??
