Lubrimatic Wheel Bearing Grease, it's like $2.75 at Home Depot. It is basically the same stuff as "bike grease", just a boat load cheaper.

I just use a dab of motor oil on my chain and sproket lube on the pedal threads (the stuff that's usually hard and yellow... kinda like ear wax). WD 40 for everything else, but i mean my bike isn't all jazzed up like most so i don't really care to make a special trip to get the really expensive bike lube. If you have a dandy bike and don't want to get black gunk on your parts go with the previousely suggested home depot stuff, i've used it and it really is the same stuff you get at the LBS.

do you mean the threads on the spindle? Get some grease, Wal-Mart has cheap grease in the automotive section. Works just as good as anything else out there.

Yeah, you shouldn't have to lube the spindles for a LONG time.

I like rock and roll lube.

I couldn't find any last time, so I am using pedros syn-lube it does the job.

For grease, I am using radical.
