Nice setup. You've got some nice DH equipement, so all I can say is thank god it's not FS.

I mean wouldn't a commuter type setup work better?

Unless you've got some nice urban jumps or stair gaps, in which case have at!

EDIT: And just my curiosity, what brakes?

That is a great bike lol and would make for a fine downhill\freeride hardtail with some new tires, dont you think its a little overkill for a campus commuter though

Excellent advice. My son won't be taking his hardtail Trek to school. First, the elements will take their toll on the bike, second theft of anything with a nice suspension fork. Instead he's taking an old Trek 800 with all the QRs removed.

PS: That is one really nice ride you've got there.

^^^ That's corey. We should get some pics of his broken bruiser. It looks awesome. He's got it up on his wall, with stickers ALL over it.

Awesome bike! Riding to class is probably a motivation for you everyday to wake up. I too would commute on bike but scare that thieves are gonna strip my bike clean. A set of QS lock (front, back, collar) is about $54 at a local bike shop. So.. yea...
