sette hydration packs
 

I'm looking into buying a hydration pack for my wife. We looked at the camelbak for women and she wasn't sure she liked the fit. I have a 3 liter camelbak (not sure of the model, it's an army issued) and she's been wearing that and has no problems with it. We were looking online and found the sette line at pricepoint and were impressed. Does anyone have any experience with these? The price is great and the MP3 compatablility is awesome, I just want to make sure it's not crap. Thoughts?

I've had little experience with Sette products and I can assure their quality, they are a respectable high quality brand and not some cheapo stuff like you might think.

Is Sette PricePoint's house brand? They seem to carry a lot of Sette products and the claim on PricePoint's site is that, "Sette is a brand of high-quality, value-priced cycling gear, exclusively available at Price Point!"

I can't tell for a fact but Pricepoint does make their own gear with the pricepoint brand, I think Sette is just a newcomer to the market and Pricepoint made a deal with them... they are a new brand, I think we will start seeing Sette products on Jenson and whatnot soon... but now that you mention it, its a possibility.

In any case, Sette is good.

I think Sette is pp's house brand. Kinda like Forte at Perf.

Then again, it's just a hydration pack, so what can go wrong.

Might also look at the Hydrapak (Blackburn Design) at Nashbar. They have a $60 one on sale for $30 (look for 10% cpn on this site) and it looks like it might hold quite a bit of stuff too:

I have one, my wife also has one. We've been using them for about 5 months now and no issues at all. Mine is the 100 oz model and has tons of storage space. It holds much more than I need to lug around, lol. The bungee cord net on it is really useful for storing layers you shed as the ride goes on in colder weather. I'd buy another Sette, especially at the price I got this one ($30).

I just bought the Sette bladder kit from Pricepoint, as well as several of their tools. All great quality as far as I can tell. I just used the bladder in my Dakine bag, and on its first use, realized my son had swiped the bit valve. Ice cold water shooting down your shirt and shorts the first time you sit down of stand up is not fun. :)
