Saddles?

Hi all

I got a Selle italia Flite Transalp saddle that dates back to 1994. The saddle is in new condition and i was wondering if its worth to ditch the existing specialized bg saddle on my rockhopper 2003 for this titanium saddle that i have.I believe that the classic Flite design remained unchanged through the years right? I mean the new Classic Flite Titanium is much the same with the old one i have. Any ideas?

Saddles are very personal items. Each rider has a favorite. Go for it. If you are used to the saddle, swap it out. It's an easy change out, so why not!

I got the speed V, but i'm not sure which one because there are 4 speed V's that i've seen, and i couldn't tell what the difference was. (except that one was real wide...didn't get that one) So i just bought one that looked like the picture on the review page at mtbr.com that had a ton of good reviews. Got it from big-wheel.com for something like $25. Can't wait to ride pain free !!

I found one at www.speedgoat.com for $90 with "free" shipping. Have you found any other places that sell it?

I'll be ordering mine later in the year.
When you're looking to buy online go to www.bestwebbuys.com/bikes and type in what you're looking for. It shows where you can find the exact thing you're looking for at the cheapest price online

Unfortunately that site relies on ad dollars from the companies whose products get posted so chances are there is sombody else out there with a lower rate. Case in point: I was looking for a set of Topeak Defenders the lowest I got on bestwebbuys was $16.00 a quick search on Google revealed several other options including Alfred E. Bike where I was able to purchase the same fenders for $11.00 and had cheaper shipping to boot. As far as other stuff I like pricepoint.com or pouring through the closeout sections in Performance and Nashbar.

Check out https://www.big-wheel.com

I bought the speed V there along with 3 other things, all of which were at the lowest price i could find. The saddle was the only thing i bought that i wasn't sure if i got the lowest price because there are 2 other models with the same name and priced differently, and i'm not sure which one i got. But the price was as low as i've seen on any Speed V, so it's at least as good as anywhere if not better.
