It is a nice upgrade...but you will be better off with the new XT crankset....or a more expensive raceface crank...turbines....
Prodigy line is budget line for raceface and it doesnt compare with typical raceface quality.

I just put the Race Face Prodigy DH on mine. Nice crank. Pricepoint has the crankset alone for $85

Which signature is nice? mine??? Hey maelstorm....do you think that the prodigy cranks are worth in comparison with the 2003 XT? I am considering the choice as well.

YEs yours ...and YEs I do. I personally prefer raceface over most for cranks and chainrings. Strong, durable, awesome warranty (they don't just say it but they also support the product better than others).

I have a RaceFace North Shore DH crank set up on my bike and have used, seen and compared it to the Prodigy DH cranks.... they are close to the same except for the North Shore one is machined, and the Prodigy is forged, they are just as burly as each other...

Don't get the Prodigy XC crank set, spend the little extra for the DH one (bash guard or not), but it also comes down to what kind of ridding you do?

I've seen those Prodigy DH cranks go through and over alot and am very impressed RaceFace makes very nice Cranks, rings and everything...
