Windsor Cliff MTB bikes??
So after talking about purchasing an inexpensive MTB to use as a commuter my girlfriend decided to surprise me with the information that she had ordered a Windsor mountain bike from bikesdirect.com.
The model she purchased was a Windsor Cliff 4500. Now I'll probably end up converting it into a single speed, but my question is, does anyone have any experience with these bikes? How is the geometry? How is the sizing?
Also, heres a picture of the bike. I'm 5'11" with a 32" inseam and she ordered a 19" frame. Will the frame be too big? Any information would be great. Thanks

I would guess that the size is about right. I think they have a sizing guide on that site, too.

Not really they "guesstimate" which makes it pretty difficult to figure out what size you need. But the Windsor website is the same way also.

Is there anyone who has one?? Any model? Because looking at the website all 3 models seem to have the same frame just different parts and paint. I'm not too crazy about the parts so my initial thought is stripping the whole bike down and installing parts that I like. Does this sound like a waste or should i just run the bike how it is until it gives out?

Bikes direct sells some quality products - I have two - high end road and MTB that I love.
I have to say you are the first person I have seen that wants to buy a BD.com bike and strip it for the parts. Typically, they sell bikes that are less total cost than the sum of their parts . . . and some buy a bike just to put a brand name frame on them (this is more so in the roadie side). This is not to say their frames are not good, I think they are very quality frames.
If you like a frame, go to bikeisland.com - bikes direct sister company. They sell most of their MTB frame there.

I didn't purchase it, it was a gift from my girlfriend. I'm used to riding rigid single speeds, so for this one i might just strip remove the fork and gears and build up another rigid single speed but use it as a commuter
