Would you pay to ride?

Weird question here...would you pay to stay out in the country, sleep in a primative bed, bring your own food and ride some virgin singletrack formed by cows?

Not really ...and i sure wouldn't pay!

I would prefer to do a ride by myself in a vast - untracked place...with little trees and lots of rocks, and pre-prepeared untouched (i wish) single track

Plenty do- but for me it would have to be a good ride- Over good terrain and a good restaurant to hand for feeding.

+1. I'd pay the $6 or whatever it is that parks charge so I can park my car for a week.

Well, maybe a little more if they let me ride my bike. All the places I backpack are non-motorized (which includes bikes)

I don't see why I would want to pay for that, the only place I would pay to ride is at a resort.

If it were some really really great riding, then yeah. If it was similar riding i can find for free elsewhere....no.

Camping is cheap, and the riding is free. That's what you're up against.

I pay $50 every year for a season pass to every state park in NJ, and put down the $$ for a season pass at Mtn Creek.

i have to pay when i want a really good singletrack ride, 12$ for a full day. Unfortunatly i dont live anywhere with any great or even decent singletrack and have to drive 3 hours and pay 12$ to get there.

You live in Hamilton right?...lots of conservation areas have xc trails available. Unless they are all closing down.

And last time I checked hamilton isn't 3 hours from collingwood. It sounds like you just need to look harder, ya hamilton is a dump but there is lots of areas within a 3 hour limit to you. At least there used to be

Problem is i'm only 15, so i can't drive yet. I need to get either my coach or my parents to drive me anywhere. The conservation areas that i can ride to dont have many singletrack trails that i am looking for. Best place i have in a 3 hour limit is Hardwood Hills as far as i know, and that costs around 12 bucks to get into.
