2005 Avid BB7's vs. 2006 Avid BB7's
Alright, so my girlfriend just bought the 2005 Avid BB7's 160mm for me (I know, i'm one lucky grunt), but now there is the great deal on the 06 Avid BB7's on pricepoint. Are there any real SIGNIFICANT differences between the two models? The rotors have a different shape to them, but besides that, am I missing out on a feature that is on the 2006 and not the 2005's? Would it be worth it to exchange my 05's to 06's? If someone, anyone, could help me answer that, I'll buy them a box of cookies. Thanks!

The design is probably the same, as you mentioned the rotor is probably the only thing difference. They work awesome so why change them. I say keep the ones you have and rock on.

Keep what you have. I think the only difference is the rotor. If you want the new rotor, just go buy one.

my brother has the 05's and i have the 06's. mine arent broken in yet but im not foreseeing any difference. best thing to do is call up avid/sram and ask them why they changed the rotor design. my bro has been running the 05's for a solid year and he loves them, no complaints.

They changed the rotor to make everyone think something about the 06's are better so you'll sell your 05's to buy the 06's only to find nothing different except your bank account... LOL

Thanks for everyone's input! I'm definitely keeping my 05 BB7's. I guess newer isn't necessarily better in this case
