good XC v-brake 32h rims??

anyone have any suggestions for a good rim for XC? v-brake compatible, 32h (maybe 36 but 32 preferred)

i'm looking to build up some Paul WORD hubs for my new SS frame!

i've been looking around but i wanted to get some feedback from you guys... i might be back a little later tonight with ones i've found that i'm considering. thanks!

haha... ironically (or maybe it's fate...) those are the two i narrowed down to when i was looking around online today. both seem pretty cool... any others i should consider?

i looked at the Salsa Delgado rim, which is about half the price of the mavic and dt swiss... and i wonder if that speaks to the quality? i have used a delgado cross rim before and loved it, but didn't beat on it as much as i would on a MTB... i also currently run 26" deep v's which are bombproof but i think i can still get strong rims without all that weight!

a buddy of mine used the delgado X's on his 29-er with no problems. i would think their 26" version is just as good. i'd take the DT rim over the mavic, based on the quality of the DT RR1.1. in the end though, they're all fine products, and all will suit you well.

but seriously, try the DTs.

I've got Stan's ZTR 355 rims built up around my Paul WORD and FHub. I didn't pick 'em, though---I bought the set on eBay. I'm happy with them, though. Light and sturdy so far.

Before I bought the wheelset I was considering Paul hubs with the Salsa Delgado. I didn't want to spend too much on DT Swiss or Mavic. FWIW, the guys at the LBS spoke very highly of the Delgados, recommending them over some of the pricier rims they could've sold me.
