XTR Compatibility

Looking to upgrade to a better crank. Currently running LX. Are the xtr 952 cranks compatible with the m950 rear derailleur?

Thanks

They are only compatible if you use a chain that has links.

ok, I thought it might be a dumb question. it's the only item that's not m950 on the bike and haven't been able to match the crank.

thanks
