Thorn Protection for Legs
Easy to find summer-weight full-fingered gloves designed to prevent thorns from ripping up your hands on single track, but it' s my legs that are being routinely butchered. Anyone know of flexible, lightweight pants that would serve the same purpose as the gloves?

hey check out some lizard skins or something of the sort. sixsixone makes a nice set of shin guards, they dont have any plastic on them, just a stretchy fit with padding in the front. greenfish has'em for clearance at $20 right now.

I prefer these actually, Levi 501's. Boot cut, not baggy, but not tight. Classy button fly, and Levi's quality.

You can go to any outdoor store and get a set of gaiters. However, they do tend to get hot. I would just get a set of ventilated knee/shin pads. Something like the 661 Race version.

Why do jean makers put button flys on jeans? I hate those...
But anyways I'd recommend some shin guards probably more like what a2psyklnut recommended. I've recently been looking at these myself as my shins are getting all cut up also.

The only issue with knee-shin guards by themselves is that ants and poison ivy can still get the back of my legs. And when ants get under the pad, that really sux.

I just wear jeans when I ride.
I have some nice loose ones, I think their made by Freeworld Denim, but let's not turn in to fanboys.
Although, sometimes I have to strap a rubber band around my right leg to keep the jeans from getting caught on the largest chainring
Shame I don't have a bashguard, although soon I will! Yay...
Anyways, yeah, some comfy jeans or "riding pants" as noted above.
