Shoes for platform pedals?

I'm trying to find a good pair of shoes for riding platforms. I don't want to go clipless but I want a bit more grip on the pedals then what my running shoes give. Any recommendations?

Another vote for the Five Ten Impacts. Combined with a platform with pins, they are incredibly grippy.

No idea - I do know they're consistent with Vans Old Schools.

$15 pair of low cut hiking shoes from Big 5 combined with Performance "Stomp" pedals (big ol' platform with pins) have worked for me. Very grippy.

I use Vans with the gum rubber soles.

I've been wanting to buy a set of 5 10's, but can't find any locally and hate buying before trying!

Many moons ago when the earth was still cooling and BMX was the new thing we all were wearing Vans, Airwalk, and Chuck Taylors. I have no idea what people are using these days but my Vans and Chucks still grip like hell to the platforms on my comutter.

I find me Globe focus's work great for grip and have thick soles to absorb more impact.
