107 MPH on a MTB?
I saw this guy on Ripley's, doing 107 MPH down the side of an active volcano on a custom built mountain bike.
His front fork seperated right at the end of the run and he took a horrible spill at over a 100 mph. World record though....
Anyone else see this? Probably old news, but I just saw it a couple of days ago...

Seriously, though, I understand your desire to keep off topic posts to a minimum. Having said that, the post was kind of funny and most of us come here for two primary reasons anyway. First, we come here to gain information. We ask questions or read other peoples post to find answers to questions that we have. Second, we come here to be entertained to some extent. We all share at least one common interest, probably more, and we post items that we think may be funny or interesting to others. This thread is kind of a flyer anyway so I don't have too much trouble with folks having fun with it. There certainly wasn't any need to get bent so far out of shape about it and if you felt it was inappropriate you could have clicked on the link to report the post to a mod.

Anyway, he frame broke if im not mistaken, its the front frame part, near the headset rite? I was like OMG, frame failure. Maybe he should ask Kona to build him a super strong Downhill bike that wont break. LOL

If you look closely you will see that his fork compresses (bottoms out) and the cranks hit the ground causing the fall.

It looked like frame seperation at the weld to me. Should've had a second bike.
