Did anyone else ride Chequamegon?
This was my first time riding. I rode the short and fat race and managed to pull a 1 hour and 23 minute time. Not bad considering in January I weighed almost 300lbs and was too out of shape to do anything. 65lbs and almost 1000 miles later I couldn't be happier. I will be riding next year. Shooting for something under 1 hour 10 minutes(and down another 40 lbs I hope).
Did anyone else go? It was a heck of a good time.

What are those trails like? I have X-Cty skiied on those trails but never rode them in the summer. Are they grassy or dirt? Fast or slow. There are some pretty long climbs - can you get decent traction on the climbs? Are there fairly worn tracks so you can maintain decent speed? Thanks for the info. I might try to get in that race next year.
