Sidi Dominator Sizing

I currently have a pair of Specialized MTB shoes, which are basically fine, but fit a bit tightly in the toebox area.

Have a line on a pair of Sidi Dominator 5 Megas for a good deal, in the same shoe size as the Specializeds (they were from three-ish years ago...)

Anyone have any experience with how the two lasts compare with each other? Will the sidis be noticeably roomier?

Also, are they stiffer to eliminate some of the hotspots I've been getting?

FWIW, I ride road with a touring bike, but since these are mountain pedals and shoes I thought I'd tap into the wisdom over here. Thanks!
