Rocks and Roots or Hardpack

Which do you prefer?

I'm personally more about the rocks and roots. Discuss...

I love riding over lots of rocks and roots...but I also love ripping down smooth but really flowy trails with light easy berms and rollers and so on.

The only time i like rocks is when i'm rolling over them going downhill. Uphill on rocks i hate. Roots i sometimes like, depends on how big they are. A bit of loose dirt is great, and good old hardpack i can't say no too.
