Nightriding...

I am going to buy a new 10w H.I.D. light setup & there is an option for the beam pattern. I can select a 6 degree spot pattern or a 12 degree flood pattern.

My question is which would be ideal for agressive singletrack night riding?

I currently use a 10w bar mount & 15w helmet mount halogen combo but have no idea if they are spot or flood.

That's probably going to be too personalized for many to answer. You'll have to experiment on your own to determine what you like.
