Two questions.

So I order a rear brake adapter for the 51mm spacing on the back of my frame for my brake caliper. I email jenson and tell them it doesn't fit.

To make a long story short, it ends up being the hole spacing is 44mm and he says I need a special trek adapter, which then I can put on the rear adapter, and put on the caliper.

Anyone know where I can get a trek adapter for cheap?

Also, somewhere, I believe the avid site they said that the two AVID brand brake lever models they sell would be the only levers compatible with their mech brakes. I wanted to know if they are full of it, and they just want to sell their product or if it's true? I want to order these xt shifter/brake lever combos, and I want to make sure they'll be fine with my bb5s.

Crap my bad. Meant to say "As long as they're NOT drop levers." And now that I think about it, you could run them with drop levers. That would be pretty cool, especially since they now have "Road BB7s"

Thank you, not sure what drop levers are. But I'll take your word for it so I can order my xt shifter/lever combo!
