Any Diff between Deore XT and XT?

I dont think there is, but its just that i see (hubs for example), some displaying Deore XT and some just displaying XT.

Is this just a year model thing?

I'm fairly sure there's no difference, as you say it may just be a year model thing.

The full name is Deore XT. As for the logo, not sure but it's most likely year/design change.
