Rock Shox Tora 302 Solo Air Loud CLICK when Compressed

My son's bike has the Tora 302 Solo air front suspension fork. It makes a loud click noise when it has a deep compression. We checked the pressure, it was low, pumped it back up but the click is still there. I did a search and can't find anything on this. Does anyone think this could be a "blow off" or release valve type thing going on?

Is it all air or does it have a coil spring as well?
