The Best Frankenbike EVER?

I want to here about the best Conglomerations that you guys and gals have ever seen? I'm talking about True hybrid abominations, Not just a comfort bike with aerobars or a flat bar road bike. I'm talking about real freaks of nature! Here's mine, wish I had pics. I rode a gravel road ride sat, One of the guy's had a Softride Mountain bike frame ( Just about all of us are familiar with the Softride Road frame or Triathlon frame ) But this was a Mountain frame witch looks even more funky, It had been converted to a cross bike by adding 26 inch road wheels and cyclocross tires, the front was then addressed. Out go the flat mountain style bars and in come roadie drop bars. ( looked like the original steer tube was one inch and he was able to get an old style threaded neck to fit the original rigid fork ) Stay with me now! then he added roadie brake levers but, went with TT bar end shifters at the backs of the drops! Also looked like Crank bros 50/50 pedals for a little freeride attitude! This guy was either an autistic genius! or maybe was sweeping the shop floor one day and on a bet, decided to see if he could build a bike out of the crap he was going to throw away! Either way I loved it! I want to go back and see if he will sell it!

Put the crack pipe down, and step back!

Slowly, calmly now, and no one will get hurt.

I also built a 24 speed MTB from a 21 spd for a lady in our office a couple of years ago and added 28x1.75 wheels and tires...one fast bike, wish i could find the pics

I don't know too many that could.

I swear that guy has a screw loose. I wonder if its even possible to really land? It'd be cool if someone came along and did it though.

But Freeride R YOU, 66. I looked up 'Freeride' on Wikipedia and, after a brief synopsis, it linked me straight to your profile

They've been making them for a while. Definately before 2000.
