Question about shifters I ordered.
I got these in the mail today
shifter/brake levers
https://www.jensonusa.com/store/produ...terlevers.aspx
and on the box it says "for V-brake". But then everyone I asked said I could use it for my bb5's. I just want to make sure, that it will work for my discs. I mean they both are mechanical, discs and v brakes so it should work right?
The brake cables and housings that came with it obviously are for v brakes, but other than replacing the cables it should be fine right?

edit: cancel that.... shorter well, the housing will be shorter, the cable will still be far too long for what you need.

If so, STI's might not be the best thing for you.

At some point I'll upgrade to hydros, but right now I'm trying my hardest just to get this thing built and take a ride on it. Then afterwards, I'm going to get my trek 930 fixed. Then I'd like to upgrade the bike frame to something and/or the wheelset. I probably will go up to bb7s before hydros.

if you do get hydro's, you will have to buy new shifters too, unless you are good with a dremel
