what does FSR mean?

I know what FS means, but what does FSR mean?

Full suspension race?? Who knows. Its just a name made up by specialized. Kinda like the Yeti FRO, which isnt, btw, realy 'for race only'

I think it is actually a name made up by the guy who designed Horst. I went looking on the web site and it said the FSR patent blah blah...who knows...full suspension responsive...haha I could guess all night

the old fs i thought mean front suspension. maybe they added the rear to the name? *shrug* future shock rear would be my guess.

Ok sure that's why it's one of the most successful designs in the history of bicycle suspension, and why so many other companies license the design for their bikes,(Iron Horse for one) or just blatantly rip off the design (Motobecane)? some of specialized early front suspension bikes had a "future shock" label on them, so "future shock rear" sounds good to me....tom

I found on the Specialized web site that it means Future Shock Rear. Now what that means I have no idea. Maybe it refers to the design of the rear suspension?

A few of the sections have FAQ's, it took me awhile to find it.
