Cane Creek direct curve brakes vs other V-brakes
Greetings fellas
I am assembling a new xc bicycle and I would like to know if Cane Creek direct curve 3 is better in quality and longevity and if stops better than Avid's or Shimano's V-brakes.
Thanks for your help.

I have the direct curve 2 as the front brake on my rockhopper and I haven't noticed much of a difference in stopping power compared to the cheapo tektro brakes that came with the bike. The biggest difference in stopping power came when I put some koolstop brake pads on.
I've never tried Shimano or Avid v-brakes, but I've heard the Avid v-brakes are among the best.

Thanks here and there
I have a set of Avid SD 7 on the bike and they are fairly nice. I replaced the "cheapo" Tektro that by the way are excelente and in braking power are very very close to the Avids.
