20mm front wheel for cheap.

I am in need of a cheap 20mm front wheel until I build my new wheelset. I went from QR to 20mm with the addition of a new fork, and if anyone has a decently strong wheel they'd be willing to sell me so i can ride my new fork, (hasn't been installed yet but dying to use it). THANKS

I was going to suggest that, but they are $150! Plus I do any thing I can NOT to support Performance bike shops. The wheel is called the LOCO and it's a pretty solid wheel, I'm running a rear on on my parts bike right now and it holding up nicely (purchased from a friend...NOT from the store).

And FYI the front wheel is a rebadged Outlaw but the rear wheel has a completely different hub that DOES NOT convert to a 12mm through axle. My friend got screwed because of this.

screwed? if he bought new from them, he could have just sent the wheel back..... or researched it more to start with.

anyhow, so long as the OP doesn't care about having brand spankin' new, then e-bay is the way to go.

learn to build your own wheels. If you're steppin up to 20mm for more aggressive riding, learning to build your own wheels pays 10x over in the long run if you're hard on parts.

What you need to do is find someone who has a singlespeed frame but wants gears. I have seen two online shops (Jenson and BlueSkyCycling) offering Saint/RhynoLite wheel sets + rear derailleur for $160. The front wheel is 20mm so it doesn't work for most forks (I'm guessing-- is that right?). They get the rear wheel and derailleur and you get the front. With shipping and "strangers" it's probably not worth it but if you knew the person....
