Saint axle compatability.

So how does the saint derailleur attach to the axle? Can I use a Saint derailleur on a shimano XT disc hub if I install a solid axle?

The Shimano Saint hub has a longer axle that the RD just bolts on to.

No, you can not just slap on the supplied axle (they use to come with a bolt on conversion kit). However, I have seen bolt on hubs that have been modified to work with the Saint RD. I could not tell you step by step how this was done but I guessing a length of 10mm threaded rod was welded on.

How would one make a saint compatible axle out of a standard 10x1 shimano axle?
