A cheaper Nomad
http://www.bikeaddict.com/bikes/images/nomad_large.jpg
I should have labeled this thread "curvy bikes" Okay, so the Santa Cruz Nomad cost more than my car so how does a "normal guy" afford it? You can stand up more often and buy a jackal for 1/2 the price: http://www.speedgoat.com/images/products/106583.jpg Or just be "pure" and by the Electra Straight 8. No need to muck around with suspension settings, hehe: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/I...inal/10531.jpg I really just wanted to show how the world is changing...pretty curvy, eh? Check out the Specialized Enduro SL...no exceptions there. http://www.singletrackworld.com/mod/...ges/2060-1.jpg Does anyone else know of any curvy bikes? Here's one for running straight into walls...I don't think the Marz. 888RC would do much more than that facing straight forward. http://www.bikeforums.net/attachment...0&d=1156226756 Can you imagine how much it cost to build a bike spec'd like that? Rohloff, 888RC, DHX... |

No doubt...but they really make my Jamis look cobby.:o
|
Or you can save up and buy a Nomad :)
|
By the time I have enough money saved up for a Nomad...I'm sure they'll have something else out there that's bigger, better, lighter etc...
Remember the carbon Jamis Diablo dual suspension MTB? That thing was state of the art. I saw one on eBay last week and laughed...ugliness. |
Iron Horse's 2007 line has a lot of "curvy" bikes....
http://ironhorsebikes.com/iron_horse_2007_catalog.pdf I think those curvy bikes are cool.....its the rapidly advancing technology that is allowing manufacturers to play with the AL a lot these days......Hopefully not at the expanse of strength or function......I like curves....and I think if the maket accpets it we are going to see a lots of curves exposed in near future... I think one day the main moto would be ....real MTB's have curves.... |
another reason to like steel

Hee, hee...busted!!!
Actually, I was considering selling everything I have so I could afford to build the Rohloff project...bad idea? It would leave me w/o a full susser...I don't know if I can handle that...still deciding. I was thinking that it'd be cool to build a bike that you'd never really need to work on anymore...ya know minus occasional tires here and there. If I thought I could sell the Fisher for enough to build a Rohloff into the Jamis...I'd do it in a heartbeat. sherpaPeak: I used to think Iron Horse was a clunky business...I have since changed my mind. I like the high end stuff: http://www.rscycle.com/site/image_br...NT_7_large.jpg |
Hmmm . . . curvy . . .
Sintesi Bazooka - - just a bit ahead of its time? |
mmm, curvy, carbon curvy = cool looking and unique compared to Aluminium, Aluminium curvy = I dont think so, last I look, it looks cheap. 07 Specialized Enduro SL looks very very cool
|
check this ******** **** out
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b8...ISHED-1004.jpg it's the actual fork ryan berrecloth rode in ROAM |
I wouldn't mind it if it were black or some color that's not bright. Flat black would be okay.
I would ride it to work and back...I'd get laughed at and the neighborhood kidz would beat me up, hehe. I would like to have a cruiser to ride to work. Dang...I think I post that phrase in every freakin' thread..."I'd like to have" or "maybe I should get____". I'm a big talker, but my pocket book could fit in 1 nostril. BTW...does that frame look familiar? (see first post);) |
