Need Advise:.....trail Bikes

Hey everyone
I want to purchase a trail bike (newby, I am use to riding a 12 speed, can't wait to hit the trails this summer). What are your opinions on the Giant Boulder SE W, the KHS alite 150, and the Brodie Lightning. I have also spoken with a few store managers, but I am also looking for advise from people who are out there biking. Thankyou so much for your opinions and advise.
Cheers
Amber

What kind of trail riding do you mean? I dont know much about any of those but Giant is a good brand to start with. Just go to some shops and ride some bikes, ask questions and get what you whant.

My first bike was a DB Sorrento, its kind of a trail bike, mabe a little stout but it is a awsome bike for the price. And it is still taking a beating!

Can you provide links to see the specifications?
What kind of trails.
How much experience do you have
What alternate uses for the bike(eg commuting, local transport, touring, keep fit)
What is your budget
What is your size

Isn't any mountain bike and trail bike?

Giant Boulders are good bikes, and great value. I commuted on one for about 12 months. I got hit by a car, and it only needed new forks and a new front wheel. One of my Christmas projects is to get it back on the road as a backup.
