What a killer ride!

Went for an outing with the local MTB club today and Holy Snikes! These guys were really impressive. They pushed me to go harder and faster than I ever have. I am exhausted! It was a great ride and look forward to doing more rides with them. I know we did 20 miles and only a quarter of the way into it we had done about 750 vertical feet and did a lot more climbing after that. I thought I was in good shape, but they really blew me away. I was able to hold ok with them early on. They'd smoke me on down hills which I'm not real confident on, but due to the trainer adn weight training, I'd usually make up some major ground in the climbs. At the end when I was just completely run down, I could still climb hard, just had to be in easier gears and had to stop at the top. Felt good overall. Did take one good tumble, and broke my computer off the handlebar.

Thats great. Riding in groups helps a lot. I don't ride with others very often but can usually find someone on the trails to 'compete' with. I will be joining a riding club in the next couple of weeks with varrying levels or difficulty so I hope my experience is as possitive as yours :)

No need for a computer...they just make you think anyways :D
