Difference between different styles of riding.

So I'm relatively new to the lingo of mountain biking and get lost when I hear dirtjumping, XC, downhilling, etc. Can anybody enlighten me to the different styles in mountain biking. If nothing else so I can find out what style I do!

Please Read Before asking Question: MTB FAQ.

Give that a go. It covers a lot of the basics in the first thread.
