My garage door is boring. (56K beware)

Oh well.

Fist off, big thanks to Randy Spangler and also to Dustin from Fox

Finished up the build yesterday, no shots of it nice and clean though. Went to the local DH runs today, rain. mud. wet. it was awesome though. I'm thinking the it's gonna be well worth the money spent on it.

The stem is only temporary, got an Easton Havoc on order. Only thing I'm thinking of switching out is the pedals (might try some Times) and possibly the cranks, maybe to some XT's or some Gravitys.

Spec List:

Frame 06 Santa Cruz Nomad
Fork Fox Talas RC2
Shock Fox DHX 5.0
Rims DT Swiss 5.1D
Hubs Chris King ISO (20mm front, HD rear)
Spokes DT Swiss Champion
Nipples DT Swiss Prolock
Headset Chris King NoThreadSet
Seatclamp Hope QR
Seat SDG i-Beam
Saddle SDG Bel-Air ST
Stem Truvativ Hussefelt (Easton Havoc on order)
Bars Easton Monkeylite DH
Grips ODI Ruffian MX
Brakes Hope Mono M4 (7", steel braided, 2pc rotors)
Shifter SRAM X.0
Rear Derailleur SRAM X.9 (short)
Housing Nokon
Casette SRAM PG-990
Chain SRAM PC-991 hollowpin
Cranks Truvativ Stylos (SS)
Pedals Crank Bros Mallet C
Chainring E.13 Guide Ring
Bashguard E.13 Supercharger
Chain Guide E.13 SRS
Front Tire WTB Weirwolf 2.5
Rear Tire WTB Weirwolf 2.35

A little red?

Is that the foldable Weirwolf in the front? Easily the worst tire i've ridden.

Other then that it looks ace .

i'm diggin the touches of red...(headset, saddle, hubs, seatpost binder, rim decals)

I dunno about the Weirwolf either...tried one once, but I GREATLY prefer Conti Diesels (might just be that I love looking down on a big fat hunk of rubber)

great build though!

No, not in the front, in the back it is. I threw those on cause our buyer at the shop got them for CHEAP. I'm thinking of either getting some Kenda Nevegals (have to talk to Spangler about those) or some Schwalbe Big Bettys.

And yeah, i've heard they are crap as well

It goes pretty fast. Not cause of the tubing, but because of the red. Everyone knows red is faster

Ya, they're definatley not confidence inspiring tires, Wal*Mart ones work better.

The back climbs like a cripple without arms and legs and the front one preforms like a blind man trying to race.

I must admit, the best tires I've ever felt/had are the ones you got me matt. I love those maxxis tires. I can go into a corner really fast without skidding.

Love the bike dude. Lookin' good.

So when we gunna ride?

Good point.

But I have had such bad luck with WTB components I wont even consider them anymore, forget about running them.

Fantastic bike with top notch components!

I was debating red hubs as well, but I don't think I'll do it. They look great on your bike.

Haven't weighed it yet, but if I had to guess, probably 35# or so.
