What is this mess...

So, I was doing my daily scan of craigslist (greatest site ever) and came across this:

https://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/bik/278295781.html

What is it? Gester? Sounds like x-mart, but I dunno. I'm 2 years into MTB and still riding an entry level Trek 4300... I don't know crap unless it's a Schwinn from the 70's...

I've never heard of Gester either, but looking at the picture it's definitely a Pacific Bicycles product. I've seen that frame at Walmart, K-mart, Target, etc.

Hehe...apparently a bent rim is an easy fix these days. Ah the wonders of technology.

Crap as in Pacific crap or entry level crap or out of this world crap? I mean, crap is used on this site to describe everything, and honestly, sarcasm doesn't translate to me well on the internet... I am kind of inept to the inside jokes and inner workings of here. So if you could clarify on which kind of crap the frame in question is, that would rock.

I find the word "crap" to be pretty descriptive. The bike performs poorly all across the board.

It would make a good beater bike. I wonder if the suspension actually works? You could put street tires on it and have a nice smooth ride over poorly maintained streets for commutes.

X-mart; looks to be the same frame as the Vertical or the Next piles.

I'll sell you a nice Yeti AS-X . . . I'd even get on the ferry and deliver it to Bainbridge

An acquanitence of mine dropped $300 to get a new rear shock for his Raven sometime in the last year. I think he ended up with a light-duty MX shock because the specs were weird and nothing else would work. I'd shy away.
