time pedals

I have a new pair of time ATAC pedals, and find them hard to click out of. I remember reading somewhere you can file down the cleats to make this easier. How do you do this? Thanks.

With a file**********

J/k, I've never had a problem with my Time Cleats, however, in older models, you could reverse the cleats from right shoe to left shoe and it would increase or decrease te release point. I don't know if the newer cleats still have this feature, but they did at one time, so it may be worth a try reversing the cleats.

Time cleats have 13° or 17° release angles. Depends on which cleat you put on which shoe.

Perhaps you just need to use them a bit more for them to break in? I have 2 pairs of these pedals on (obviously) two different bikes and I've not experienced this problem.

Perhaps the bottom of your shoe is interfering??? I bought a new pair of Specialized shoes, and the instructions specified cutting a piece of the bottom of the shoe if one is using Time ATACs. I didn't do this, and have yet to have a problem though.

The pedals definately work better as they get broken in. the worn in ones on the mtb are very easy to get out of.The new ones on the road bike are not as easy.Same cleat.
