Shimano warranty?
I bought a LX group about 3 months ago. Well yesterday my rear derailleur snapped in half. It broke at what would seem to be the stongest part. I personally think it is a defect. Is there anykind of warranty on it? I have already bought a new XT to replace it. It also twisted the chain and ripped out a spoke.

Two year warranty on most Shimano, three on XTR and Dura/Ace. If you can go with out it, a shop can send it in for warranty inspection. It is unlikely that Shimano(or anyone) will warranty a part that has fractured as this is usually from an outside influence, stick, spokes, etc...
