Earplugs?

Just finished building my new Yeti ASX. I installed Hayes HFX 9's with 8" rotors. The problem is that I might be needing earplugs as the rotors are making all sort of noises (tin-metal sounds) when going uphill, downhill or even on flats.... Is that the way it is, or there is some kind of remedy? Other than that the bike is awsome...climbs like a trail bike and goes down like a downhill bike...

do they make a 'shing' sound?? If so.. adjust your calipers... that dont work?? shim the rotor or the adaptor.. i had to shim the adapter on my 66rc for the caliper to line up..
