Fork replacement suggestions
I'm thinking of replacing the Marzocchi XC400 (40mm travel) fork that is currently on my Ross Mt. McKinley with a Fox F100X (100mm travel). Is this a good idea or not?
I'm not sure if the Zoke is OE. I do know the bike came with a suspension fork, tho' the fork and bike are of the same year.
Everything I've read about the Fox fork impresses me, however I'm not sure what the extra 60mm will do to the handling.
Discuss.

Do you know if the frame has a 1" head tube or a 1 1/8" head tube?

The quick answer would be that the 100mm fox will slow the steering down due to the probable larger axle to crown height, and you will be more raked out.
You would have to measure the two though to make sure of the difference.
Personally, I would stick with an 80mm fork for that bike.

I agree. I have both an F80x and an F100x. They are both awesome forks. However if I weren't racing I would skip on the x fork and go with an rlc.
