Since the pedal thread was going on, thought we might like to see what the distro. of pedals is on the forums.

Arggggh!!! Looks like you can only vote once. Plus, I voted wrong on my own poll! I should have voted for TIME. The results are hopelessly skewed.

I'm feeling disenfranchised (SP) here.

No Ritchey or Onza?

In trying not to be biased towards TIMES, I put SPD first, then when I voted picked the first in the list! Dohhh (use Homer simpson voice here )

Rithcey and Onza qualify as SPD here. The SPD category includes all SPD compatible pedals.

I voted for TIME for you, as i use SPD's on my bikes I'll look at the code tonite and see if a multiple choice poll would be posible without too much change.

My experience:

Onza cleats are not compatible with SPD. You can get them in, but you will need a screwdriver to unclip. Very humerous! Actually ended up destroying my wife's shoes in order to get them to release She was actually pretty stoked since she wanted to upgrade anyhow. (I had warned her before not to try.... hey, wait a second, I think she played me...)

My buddy has jammed up wearing his SPD cleats in my Ritchey's, but never the other way.

After my wife's disaster, there ain't no way I'm putting my Sidi/Ritcheys into the Onza pedal!

We members of the small grass-roots parties demand to be counted separately. Power to the Pedals!

Thanks Joe. I guess it's actually a good feature that you can't vote more than once so you can't stuff the ballet box. We all know how important this pedal poll is!

DS, I've heard and read many horror stories about the Onza's. I think it's time you and your wife join the TIME revolution...

MBC - I think the New sign is the post is new since your last visit.

Joe -
Actually, the Onza's are on my road bike (much lighter than most road pedals). Lisa pitched her Onza's after the fateful incident. So now I have spares! I couldn't get rid of them if I wanted to the guilt would drive me crazy.

The Times sound great, someday....

Time - what a great moniker for clipless pedals! Takes so little of it to clip in or out. Love that float. And you can't gunk the clips up (short of romping through the La Brea tar pits!)

I voted for Times but I have to add a caveat. I use Speedplay's on my road bike, and platforms on my urban/jump bike and my BMX cruiser, so I don't know what the heck I like, I guess I like em all.

I have to wait to get my bepops to choose between SPD, Times and Bebops. (Inside information indicates that Mark won't be voting for the Times because he's a hopeless dweeb and can't seem to get unclipped from them).

Definately won't vote for Onza...Probably because of the broken collar bone and wrist (two boo-boos, one crash, Onza bad!)

hello, newbie here with first post.

only clips and straps for now, will upgrade later when necessary.

I heard clips/straps are better than nothing at all, are these that bad??

It's all personal preference. There's definately pros and cons for all the different platforms......

Welcome to the forum
