Replacing air with coil shock

Stated on a previous thread:
https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...threadid=28630
My friend's Float RL shock busted while I was riding his Enduro. So we're looking for deals on replacement shocks, and have found some good deals on comparable coil shocks. (Fox Vanilla RC and RL)

Would the Vanilla work on the Enduro? Which shock would be the best choice? Does anyone know of any other good deals on rear shocks?

Thanks-
