Nitrous cleaned up and ready to race!
I thought I would take a picture of the Nitrous while it is actually clean. It sure won't look like this after Sunday's race. Actually, for the race I will probably even put a fender on the bike. It's gonna be nasty!!!
Oh, here's a picture of me as well. Pretty close to race weight.

Have you tried that lysol teflon based cleaner? It supposedly keeps the mud sliding off your bike, like pam, but not messy.
Nice cow.

I suggest you ride that cow in your next race.

Nope, not nokon cables. Just standard cables. I have nokon cables on my IF road bike though. Honestly, I'm not overly impressed with them. They work fine and all but they make creaking / squeking noises.

There's a cow in your backyard! Did you know there's a cow in your backyard? Is that your cow?
Actually don't mean to show my ignorance but I'm assuming that's a cow and not a bull.

that bike looks sick.
Is that really your seat height? Using finger-and-thumb geometry it looks like the saddle-bottom bracket length is greater than your inseam, and like saddle-6-o'clock-pedal-position is about 12-16" greater. maybe it's some kind of foreshortening thanks to the camera.
And what's the big deal about the cow? That's what hamburgers (and steaks, and meatloaves, etc.) look like before you unwrap them. Bunch of city folk think beef comes from supermarkets?
But it is a nice looking cow, or steer. Tasty looking.

Still kicking.
Nah, that's his dog in the background. The picture in his avatar was taken from 4 stories up.

What kind of forks is that? My Spinner fork would look nice on that bike.
What is that thing on the end of the handlebars?

Your bike looks awsome. Good luck for the race. I'll be racing this sunday as well, first this year, and starting the season with a marathon again.

My true inseam (not pants size) is 33.5". My pants inseam is 32" for what it's worth. From the center of my bottom bracket to the top center of my saddle is 30". Exact same as it is for my road bike. Fits me perfect!
The picture above is with my training wheels. Here it is with race wheels.

The things on the end of the handlebars are called bar ends. They are great for climbing plus they give you an extra position to put your hands.

Thanks, good luck to you as well. I hope you have better weather than we are going to be having. It's going to be in the upper 30's with snow and rain. Fun, fun, fun.
Be sure to post a race report.

LowCel, are you racing the Dragon's Back?
Even if you aren't, any race in the East this weekend should be wet, rainy, and muddy.

I discovered last year that June, July, and August are the months to race in WV. Besides, I just finished a 4 hr ride on the cross bike. My legs are toast now.
Oh yea, make sure your pedals are tight!

I've already checked the pedals twice, will check them again tomorrow before the race.
Hope the weather was better for your ride than it is here.
