A little pedal bling bling!

Well the new pedals got here today and they are every bit as blingy (is that a word) as I expected. I think if nothing else the shorter spindles are going to be nice, that's always a good thing.

One thing that did suprise me was the fancy, schmancy box they came in. It's neat and all but to be honest I would rather pay $20 bucks less and just get them in a cheap cardboard box. That's just me though.

Anyway, not really much more to say about them I guess. On to the pictures

I'd snap those lil thingy's.

I'd need to get some stainless ones. I'm diggin 'em though.

Could someone help my boggle? I hear that titanium is "stronger" than steel...why is there a weight limit on ti and not steel?

Oh yeah, the eggbeaters are awesome. I've got three pairs of the SL's as well. I have been using eggbeaters for four years or so now. Great pedals.

Very good info. Makes internally coherent sense, but I'm no engineer, so I can't tell if it's actually true (i.e. externally coherent). But definitely a good read.

OP: Your pedals are purty. And light. i think 1/2 of one of my pedals weighs that much.

Are those Crunk Brothers pedals? Do you have a Chris Bling headset to match?

LOL, nope, no Chris Bling headset. Running an American Classic headset. I'm not a Chris King fan.

Yes, Blingy is now a word, but NO, they are not BLINGY. "Blingy" refers only to looks over function. These lightweight version of the the Eggbeaters DO look nice, but they are just as functional as regular CB's, but lighter!...AKA BADAZZ! Nice pics, too!

p.s.-I agree with you on the packaging, I'd take a $20 rebate for the goods only...but the world is now all about "marketing"..BOOO

Can I just say I love the Crank Bros. packaging? Has anyone ever seen a Shimano pedal box? Gross. Even for their Ultegra/Dura-Ace pedals, it looks like bulk-produced generic Asian goods. I appreciate that the aesthetics of the Crank Bros. design (simple and refined) carries over to their packaging, which is functional as it is aesthetically pleasing. It also makes sense from a retailer standpoint, in that the Crank Bros. instantly has more visual appeal, and can be easily displayed in a retail enviroment just by sliding the box open half way. We'd never sell a Shimano pedal if we left them in the box for display.

I love that they have a section on their site devoted to other products that have inspired their design.
