Hola, Im new also!
Hows it going viewers of my thread!? Well I just did a quick google search for a mountain bike forum, and come upon this gem, found some good info so I thought i would register and join up!
So far this has been a great season for me. I have purchased a new bike (2007 Specialized Epic Rim), and have gone about 8 times on it. Love the bike so far, much better than the old Schwinn FS i inherited last year! However this is my first time using clip-on pedals (eggbeaters), and have mixed feelings about them. I like that they are uber-light, and more efficient, but I dont think I am comfortable with them yet because i feel sketchy going around loose gravel corners, and general fear of falling while attached to the cycle. but so far so good...guess it is something I will have to get used to.
Im attaching a pic of the bike when i first got it, still has the crap SPD's on it, so dont mind that. Since this pic i have added some shorty extensions, and a water bottle cage!
Well, not sure what else to balbber on about, but just thought I would say Hi, Hope everyone has a safe season!

Throw the stick!!!!
Welcome to the forums and congratulations on a very nice bike. Once you give the eggbeaters some time you won't be able to ride without them, I couldn't. They save me from many more crashes than they have ever caused me.
