Need A New Single Track Bike
I ride agressive single track almost everyday and I just tore up my Trek 3900. Anybody have any suggestions for an advanced hardtail that I can ride hard? My budget is between $600-$1000. Also any good websites to look for decently priced bikes?

Specialized rockhopper is a great bike in that price range! I suggest a trip to your local dealer. and see what's available.

RE: How'd I tear it up?
I like to ride real hard and go big. The wheels got all bent up and started rubbing against my V brakes then I had to replace the front wheel because I got a kink in the rim. Then the chainring got all bent, as well as the third ring on the rear cassette. After landing a big jump my handle bars bent down about an inch and a half or so. I busted both the bar ends off. The final straw though was the rear derailer. I have no idea how it happened but the chain got knocked off the lower wheel of the derailer and one good pedal later my derailer was nothing but a bent peice of metal. I tried making it a single speed, but whenever I got any speed up the chain would jump to another gear so it feel off. Now I just have a piece of **** laying in the back of my truck.

If you're riding that hard, I would pony up some money. If you want a hardtail, look for a long(er) travel hardtail, I wouldn't go below $1000-$1200, disc brakes are a must. If you want a full suspension, gon't go below $2000.
