Best new crankset for about $150
Looking for crank to install in new frame. Need 44/32/22. Bikefourms is never short of opinions... What's yours?
1. Race Face Evolve XC X-Type
2. Shimano LX

OK I know this is a crappy post... but I am inclined to stick with the Shimano LX crank and wonder if I should consider anything else. The Shimano stuff is usually bulletproof and reliable. Why change? I guess I answered my own question.

I dont have them myself, but i seem to see a lot of people happy with thier LX cranks. Apparently they're very stiff.

I've got FSA on my Bullit,Truvativ Hussefelt on my SS and they both work well.

FSA's X-type setup is hard to beat. That would be my choice of the three.

LX, Shimano (and now Campy on the road) are the only ones to figure out a good mounting system for outboard bearing cranks. Other than the not so great rings LX (and XT) are a totally bomb proof setup.
