Total n00b here.

Hey,I'm looking at buying this frame, crank, headset, derailer and pedals from this guy for $75.I've never really biked before, and this seems like a good deal too me,but I just want some people who actually know what there talking(typing, actually) about to clarify this for me .

So do you think this is a good deal,or it would be more cost effective to buy a new bike after buying wheels,a fork handle bars brakes ect.

Thanks

well if you want to build a bike based around that frame, sure. Just make sure you actually build a bike, don't just stockpile parts.

I think you'd be waaaaay better off just buying a bike outright. Especially if you are a total noob. It isn't cheap to build up a bike buying parts. Far cheaper just to buy a complete bike, again, especially if you are new to biking, nevermind building up a bike.
